Crazy Week

It has been an extremely busy week, I came back to Pennsylvania and have been working ever since.  While it's good to save money for my closet, it has been sad because I've basically only been wearing my all black uniform every day.  So instead of an outfit post I'm making a list of some trends I want to try and will hopefully be able to buy.

First up: leather shorts.
I have wanted a pair of leather shorts to call my own for so long.  My only problem has been finding an affordable pair, especially since I'm not sure how I will feel about them on me.

I have been watching this pair for over a month and think they would look adorable but haven't decided yet if they're worth the splurge. 

Item two: Heeled combat type boots but not super heavy.  I did find a pair at Urban Outfitters that look cute online and not too expensive, so of course I had to order them, they will be making their debut appearance on here as soon as they arrive.

Finally, I have been very tempted by the idea of a maxi skirt, even though I at first was very opposed to them.  I want one that sweeps the floor but I still haven't decided if I should get one.  Here is the one I've been craving

How beautiful is this one from Free People? (And, it's on sale!) Although it seems a bit sheer so I'm also not too sure about that. It has been sitting in my online shopping cart for several days so chances are it will soon be a purchase :)

Birthday.

 Today was my 21st birthday! Finally. It feels almost as if I have been waiting for this day for my whole life and much to my dismay, I wasn't even carded to buy drinks.  The day has been quite great so far (minus a rocky start consisting of me at the mechanic for several hours but my car is all fixed!).  I met with an old friend of my mom who greeted me with this single rose, it was precious.

After lunch I returned home to find a package at the door from my Aunt and Uncle in California. Guess what? More flowers! It feels like Valentine's day.

Such a lovely surprise, who doesn't absolutely love getting lots of beautiful roses? After this, some cocktails with a friend and it was off to dinner! Of course for my birthday dinner, I wanted sushi.  I met up with my mom, my brother Zack, and his girlfriend Tiffany, it was a great evening, here are some of our dinners! (Mine is on the bottom, it was so beautiful I didn't want to eat it)

After dinner we had fried ice cream and presents :) My brother got me an espresso/coffee maker! Just what I needed going into yet another hard semester.  Here are some pictures from the night:

Resolutions.

First of all, Happy New Year!

For approximately the last four months, I have spent the majority of my time (that should have been spent studying and doing schoolwork) reading in fascination about many different bloggers' personal styles.  Clothes are something that I have always loved, writing is something I have always loved, and blogs have also found a soft spot in my heart.  Because of this, I have decided to start my very own blog.

I grew up in a small farm town and go to college in a small town so my fashion exposure has been primarily through the internet.  I once had the dream of becoming a model or a designer or even a personal assistant to anyone in the industry, but as college arrived, my path into chemical engineering has made it difficult to maintain these hopes.  So here is my shot at keeping fashion relevant in my life!
